Happy Father's Day Brent!!!

How cool to be the hero of three little people! Thanks for loving them so fiercely and staying calm when I go crazy!! You are truly their "Super Dad"!!!

Virginia missed the photo op! She could only handle the heat of one 97+ degree baseball game.
Happy Father's Day Brent!!! We love you!

A Day with Miss Gordon and Miss K

Wow! I've taken a bit of a blogging hiatus! It hasn't been for lack of excitement around here -- although I don't have many photos that show how we have kept busy. Let me just say this -- pool, baseball, pool, baseball, pool, baseball with a few ice skating and tennis lessons thrown in for excitement! :)

Ford and Virginia's school does an online auction each spring to raise money for the school. This year, Virginia's kindergarten teacher and her teaching assistant offered to take a group of 4 kids to Faust Park for a picnic, ride on the carousel and tour of The Butterfly House. Because we love Miss Gordon and Miss K, we had to have this. My friend Katherine and I went in together (because we were bidding against each other!) and Virginia, Megan, Raegan and Katie got a day with Miss Gordon and Miss K.

Here are the photos from their amazing day!

A picnic in the park . . . McDonald's style.
Thanks to Miss Gordon and Miss K for an awesome day! We have been super blessed to have Miss Gordon twice . . . and Jeb is counting on having his turn in 2011.

Fearless Ford!

For the past two years, Ford has been jumping off the 1st platform whenever we visited Point Mallard during visits to Alabama. He always does it just once per year and always just before we leave for the day! He is truly terrified of heights (won't do any climbing or many of the slides at City Museum!) but each year he conquers fear, momentarily, for a crazy high diving platform.

This year, we joined Shaw Park pool. Peer pressure can be good and bad. So far, pool peer pressure has been good. I think he stops to pray (heartfelt, help me Lord, prayers!) but he has now jumped off the platform about 5 times in our first week of swimming!

See for yourself . . . fearless (and faithful!) Ford!
