Oh the Witch has an Itch . . .

Each Halloween, Jeb's preschool music teacher does a cute music and movement program with the kids. A little sad to not have Virginia performing this year! :( But Jeb loves Ms. Shotwell and his favorite is "Oh the witch has an itch, oh the witch has an itch. Where oh where does the witch have an itch? On her teeny tiny nose, on her teeny tiny nose" . . . and on and on until her whole teeny tiny body has an itch!

Ms. Shotwell gives each of the kids a chance to say their name and what they are for Halloween -- giving them microphone to 3 year olds can be hysterical! Jeb was VERY loud -- he said JEB and I'm a Height (aka, Knight).

A little dancing . . .
A little coloring . . .
And a little daddy time!

Another One Bites the Dust . . .

The swine flu survival continues . . . and I'm the 2nd one taken down! Praying my boys all stay well!!! Virginia is feeling better today. She is really missing school and the only keeping her from being a total pill about missing another day is that her precious teacher has been out all week with the flu too. Thank goodness for Clorox Wipes -- we are wiping down everything!

Surviving the Swine Flu 101

It has arrived with a vengeance and the first to go down is Virginia. Yes, the swine flu has arrived at the Balogh house. Ugh! Poor Virginia went from perfectly perky to totally wilted in about 12 hours yesterday. Apparently this pig flu doesn't mess around -- it just cuts to the chase! One minute, we were fever free and a little droopy and literally 30 minutes later we were crying and burning up! So off to the doctor this morning for the dreaded confirmation. The only reason I even took her was because Jeb has asthma and she has previously had pneumonia. The test came back positive. She is coughing like CRAZY and the fever is high and she is sore -- it is really sad. But, the one positive, she is a mama's girl when she is sick. She loves me to sit and cuddle her and that is so rare now! I'm loving that part!!! So Tamiflu, please do your thing and make her feel better soon, but in the meantime, I'll take all the cuddles I can get! Jeb is starting Tamiflu too but poor healthy Ford will just have to let the piggy flu run its course -- the are being stingy with the Tamiflu around here!

Please pray that this moves on soon! We all need some healthy days around here!!!

Good Ole Rocky Top -- Rocky Top Tennessee

Ford's birthday gift this year was tickets to the Auburn / Tennessee game in Knoxville -- along with a ride to and from the game, hotel accommodations and food for the weekend. And most importantly, a weekend with his mama and daddy -- but no siblings! He even got to miss a day of school! We headed to Knoxville on Friday (and my parents met us in Nashville to take Virginia and Jeb to Athens for the weekend), and arrived just in time for a nice dinner at The Outback . . .

I will add here, if you like peanut butter pie, you MUST go to The Outback -- WOW! Ford found the accommodations at the Jamieson Inn to be fabulous. Those waffle makers for your breakfast were a BIG hit! We headed down to the stadium relatively early on Saturday (even though it was a night game and we would be walking around for hours!!). It was really fun to see all the boats lined up on the river for the game -- Auburn infiltrated and Aubie was on a boat!!!
We even saw the Sunsphere from the 1984 (I believe) World's Fair, which I actually attended way back then! It seemed much taller back in '84.
The Tiger Walk was amazing and packed with Auburn fans. We even got a group shot just before heading into the stadium.
My handsome boys . . . and by the way, any stadium could hold 100,000 plus people if they just change the numbers on the bleachers in order to smoosh 100 people on a row made for 20. Seriously Neyland Stadium -- steep and smooshed.
A fun weekend for Ford. An Auburn win (thank goodness!). And the last good weekend of Auburn football that we have had . . . come on Tigers -- where are you?
