Staying Busy!

We have had a busy two days at the Balogh house!  Yesterday morning upon arriving at the mall with Virginia and Jeb, I realized that my stroller was in Brent's car.  Instead of doing the smart thing and immediately returning home, I decided I could handle a quick return at the sporting goods store and a visit to the food court with my sweet two year old without a stroller.  This was the big mistake!  Jeb was everywhere . . . he was like a little monkey finally let loose from a cage!  Why they have candy at the check out of a sporting goods store is beyond me!  But, he did have a very cute moment . . . he climbed up in this comfy cardinals chair to rest from his adventures and I quickly captured it before the rest ended.  He looks so sweet but the busted lip and the bandaid on the knee should show you that he is not always so sweet and somber!!

Last night Brent was going to be home from work a little late so I thought, why not take the kids to see Kung Fu Panda . . . so off we go to the 5pm movie.  The movie was cute but not great; however, the kids had fun.  Jeb likes anything that involves a cup with a straw and some food!!!
My ever serious Ford . . .
And Virginia enjoyed it too (although she wondered where the princesses were!) . . .
So . . . after shelling out the bucks for a movie, we decided that today should involve a free activity.  We picked up our friend Olivia and headed to the Science Center while Jeb was at school.  This harp is stringless and the laser beams run between the top and bottom where the strings would be . .. . when the kids move their hands inside it, it played!  They found it fascinating and I had to drag them away after about 20 minutes!
They also loved racing cars in the Discovery Room . . . and thankfully everyone got a chance to "win"!
Everyone needs some time playing the drum in a teepee!
Homemade silly putty . . . only at the Science Center -- not at my home! :)
These balls are fascinating to kids of all ages . . . and Ford and Olivia were excited to be silly!
This is the bridge at the Science Center that crosses over I-64/40.  My kids could spend hours with the yellow radar gun wishing speeding tickets on most every car that goes under them!!
Ford and Olivia trying to move the hamster wheel . . . it was harder than it looks!
Even mama gave it a try with Virginia's help!
Now hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow so we can have pictures from the 4th of July parade and fireworks!  Happy 4th!
